Privacy Awareness Week in 2009 will be held in May for the first time. The Week will see a variety of programs and initiatives hosted by public and private sector organisations from across the Asia-Pacific region to promote awareness of privacy rights and responsibilities. Privacy Awareness Week 2008: 24th August - 30th August
Privacy Awareness Week is an annual promotion by the Asia Pacific Privacy Authorities (APPA) group. APPA members that participated in PAW 2008 were; Australia (including New South Wales, Victoria and the Northern Territory), Canada (including British Columbia), Hong Kong and New Zealand.
The week is an opportunity for governments, business and individuals to promote privacy awareness.
