Site Changes
On 1 November 2010 the Office of the Privacy Commissioner was integrated into the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner and a new website established at www.oaic.gov.au.

Federal Privacy Commissioner notes Federal Attorney-General's media release regarding use of electoral roll by Commonwealth Government agencies
Federal Privacy Commissioner, Malcolm Crompton said, "I note that the Federal Attorney-General has issued a media release, today, regarding the use of the electoral roll by Commonwealth Government agencies."
"I am currently assessing the information contained in the release, in light of a formal investigation my Office is conducting into the provision of electoral roll information by the Electoral Commission to the Taxation Office."
