Site Changes
On 1 November 2010 the Office of the Privacy Commissioner was integrated into the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner and a new website established at www.oaic.gov.au.

Will I still be able to access healthcare anonymously?
Yes. An IHI will not alter the way in which anonymous healthcare services are currently provided. In these instances, an IHI would not be used by the healthcare provider.
However, in the provision of any healthcare service where you provide your identity the healthcare provider may link the IHI with your health record without your authorisation.
