Is my IHI an electronic health record?
IHIs are not an electronic health record. There will only be limited identifying information and information about who has accessed your record in the HI Service database.
You need to have an IHI to be eligible to register for a personally controlled electronic healthcare record (eHealth record).
More information on eHealth records and the OAIC’s role is available at www.oaic.gov.au
